You Need Our Legendary Customer Management Tool

Okay, ladies! We know that you’re busy. It’s the holiday season and orders are rolling in. You gotta admit while amongst the stress of filling orders and keeping track of new holiday orders, it’s nice to have the new customers rolling on in. However, what if we told you that there's a way to easily keep track of all of these new customers and a way to market specifically to them to maximize your profits?

It’s Possible With UnitWise

UnitWise is the all inclusive business management solution that’s specifically designed for NSDs, Directors, and Independent Beauty Consultants in order to help them simplify managing their entire business, so they can have more time to focus on getting more sales and spend more time with their families.

Once you sign up with UnitWise you’ll gain access to tons of innovative features for inventory management, email marketing, accounting, customer management, and more.

Customer Management With UnitWise

By using UnitWise to manage your contacts you can quickly and simply import all of your contacts from InTouch and easily add new customers as they come along. Then you can sort them into groups based off of your preferences. For example, you can place all of your leads in a group, and all of your customers from New York in another group.

As you talk to your leads and customers you can add notes about them to their files and use your notes to build relationships with them. For example, if Deborah prefers being called Debbie you can take note of that. If Sheila has four kids you can ask her how the whole gang is, and if Tina is a University of South Carolina Alumni you can comment on how the Gamecocks are doing this football season.

Not only can you use notes to keep up with personal details about your clients, but you can also use them to document which skincare products or cosmetics they like. For example, if your home girl Debbie likes hand creams then you can add her to the hand care group.

Then you can send marketing emails to the entire hand care group with deals and coupons related to handcare products to let Debbie and others know about special promotions so they will be more likely to buy more products. If Debbie already likes the lotion why not introduce her to a sugar scrub?

Although, why stop at one product? Along with introducing Debbie to new products you can also upsell her on items. If she’s interested in the nourishing cream why not introduce her to the entire satin hands set that includes multiple products for soft and moisturized hands that will make Debbie feel like a queen.

Then over time you can start cross-selling products. Chances are that if you like soft hands then you also like soft feet, so you can send the hand care group that includes Debbie special deals about foot care products. You can send your foot care group information about the hand products as well, and then you’ll have more sales before you know it!

Try UnitWise Today!

Take a few seconds to sign up for your free 15 day trial with UnitWise, and instantly gain access to tons of time-saving, intuitive features, including the customer management tools which will help you build better relationships with your customers, increase customer revenues, help you cross-sell products, improve your upsells, and more.

Skincare Products Are Luxurious Last Minute Gifts

Happy holidays! You’ve been putting in some work, getting your holiday sales together and pushing inventory out. You’ve also been in go mode, skimming the mall and shops for gifts to surprise your loved ones.

However amongst the sea of mall Santas, deals, and holiday treats you might have forgotten someone on the list and you may not know exactly what to get them. Don’t panic and rush back to your favorite store that’s probably super crowded. Instead, treat them to a skincare product.

During the holiday hustle and bustle, people forget to spend time on themselves and can get buried under stress so a skincare product can remind them to slow down and treat themselves. It will also make them feel like a relaxed, pampered princess.

The Perfect Last Minute Skincare Gifts

When it comes to the face winter can be a harsh time with dry air and harsh icy winds that cause dry, cracking, red skin. Help your loved ones restore moisture to their skin with hydrating masks.

Masks can come in gel and clay forms, from bottles to be used multiple times, or in peel and clay form for one-time uses. They come with invigorating peppermint scents that provide a nice tingle.

A few masks get even more exciting because they have fun prints on them. The masks look like tigers, pandas, and more, so they’re fun for all ages to wear. Your niece who is around 13 can look like a tiger while her skin becomes moisturized.

Don’t forget about the lips! Winter does a number on them too. Luckily there are tons of moisturizing holiday lip sets to choose from. Each kit comes with exfoliating lip scrubs and hydrating glosses. They’re usually in shades of pink and red around this time of year. Scrubs can be exciting for those who are trying to discover more about makeup.

Hands are out there on the frontlines, getting cold, wet and tired while carrying gift bags, wrapping gifts, and baking. Someone with princess soft hands might feel like a lizard lady by the end of the season!

Surprise the hard working person in your life with items they may not consider getting for their own hands, like scrubs to exfoliate dry skin away. Make sure to include some holiday season lotion to hydrate their skin. Luckily all of this stuff can be found in prepackaged together in hand repair kits!

You know what’s great in the colder seasons in particular? Baths! You know who usually has bubble bath items on hand? Not very many people! Give your loved ones a relaxing soak with bubble baths, candles, and salts, so they can sneak away from their kids and the holiday chaos.

Have you seen what you can do with baths today? Bath bombs are simply unbelievable. You just drop them in warm water and they fill the entire tub with pretty colors, fragrances, glitter, bath salts, and more. There are oatmeal ones to moisturize the skin, ones with relaxing lavender scents, shimmering ones for the diva in your life.

Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, oh wait! The toes! While wearing boots and trekking through slush and frigid puddles feet can take a beating. Show your specials ones you care by getting them scrubs and lotions to return their feet to beautiful flip flop wearing condition.

Peppermint creams and relaxing sugar scrubs, along with a thick pair of warm socks will have them feeling relaxed in no time. These items also will come packaged together with an exfoliating scrubber included!

Cheers to Another Great Season!

You’ve had a successful 2016 and it’s time for Santa to arrive with gifts. Remember to take some time for yourself to relax. If you need to run out for any last minute gifts remember that skincare gifts are very thoughtful!

Happy holidays from the heroes at UnitWise.

Makeup For That Holiday Party

Ready or not, it’s time for that holiday party. Whether it’s a work party, family reunion, or intimate gathering with friends, it’s time to take a break from the day to day professional makeup and add some holiday glam to stand out as the most beautiful winter princess in the room.

Consider the following makeup tips to steal the eyes of your in-laws, jealous coworkers, frenemies, and more with a flawless holiday look.

Your Eyes

Ready to make your eyes really pop? Good! Start with a little mascara to open up your eyes and grab people’s attention. You can use fake lashes, volumizing mascara, or a clumping mascara to make your eyes stand out.

This isn’t the time for your daily eyeliner routine. Spice it up with wings or a longer cat eye look. You can also accent your eyeliner with glitter or nontraditional colors. White and blue eyeliners are in this season because they draw attention while brightening your eyes. However, you can also choose a silver, red, or green eyeliner for a festive holiday vibe.

Of course, the smokey eye is a classic go to look for eyeshadow, but your holiday party isn’t an everyday event so make it loud. Instead of your everyday matte shades of gray go with shimmering shades of gunmetal and metallic silvers. Also, accent your eyes with metallic shades of gold, yellows, browns to really shine.

Your Lips

You really can’t go wrong with a shade of red lipstick during the holiday season, but make sure it’s fierce and bold. Bright red shades of matte lipsticks will have all eyes on your radiant smile. However, don’t stop there. Experiment with shades of shimmering burgundy, glossy cranberry, or berry-stained shades of red too.

Everyone sort of expects a brilliant shade of red lips, so shock them by picking the bold shade of black cherry, purple, or even pale pink that you’ve been eyeing for awhile.

Why should you settle for just one color? It’s the time of year to stand out with fierce color, and that can be easily done with two-toned lips! Play with your shades of red, pinks, and purples to create an unforgettable look where your lips are lighter on the inside and darker on the outside.

Wait, wait, wait! Don’t forget that you’re naturally beautiful. Why even cover your beautiful lips when they already have breathtaking color? Simply apply a clear coat of lipgloss for an irresistible shine and confidently head out to that party.

Foundation and Blush

Alright, so your tan may have faded a little, that’s fine! Just be sure to make sure your winter foundation matches your skin tone. Always remember to switch foundations to match your skin tone with the changing seasons.

Ok, so you want to be tan, that’s also fine! Use a gradual tanner on your skin, and make sure that it looks natural, not too dark or orange. You can also go slightly darker than your foundation shade, but the key is to really not over do it.

The key to looking like a winter princess is to have an all natural looking, youthful blush with shades of pink, red, and peach. Use just a hint of it, and remember that blush is the easiest product to use too much of.

To go all natural and enhance your look with some contour powder or bronzer on your cheek bones. You can also use a highlighter.

Remember

Always practice new looks and techniques in advance! If you practice a new look the day of the party or close to an hour before you might end up with a look that you don’t want to haunt you in photographs posted on social media.

Also, don’t over do it. Too much color and shimmer can end up looking clown-like. If you go heavy on the eyes, go easy on the lips, or vice versa. No one knows your look better than you.

Happy Holidays

Don’t take that holiday party too seriously. Remember to cut loose and enjoy the season with good company and laughs. Have fun with your perfect holiday look full of shimmer and cheer!

Keep coming back to UnitWise for more makeup tips and tricks, and please post your makeup plan for the holiday season in the comment section.

Why is Email Marketing Important?

Email marketing extends your digital reach to not only new customers but to new businesses as well. It provides a means of communication from client to business and from business to business, that would otherwise not be there.

By providing your information and making it easier for new customers and other businesses to reach out to you, they’ll be more likely to reach out to you, or suggest your business to others. As a result, you'll build more of an online presence for your business and brand, and market it to a broader audience.

Just think about it, what's the one thing you do multiple times a day, even on the weekends? The answer is check your email. On a daily basis your customer base will be checking their inboxes for messages so why not send them an email about a special deal?

Customized sales emails will get customers on the hook, and once you send them a special offer they can’t resist they’ll click a link to your site, increasing not only your sales but the traffic to your homepage as well.

Although marketing emails aren’t just for the promotion of sales, they’re also a great way to spread the news about what’s happening with your business. Use them to announce promotions, share great news, or to promote your blog posts.

Now, there’s no need to feel intimidated by email marketing, even if it seems difficult to create a professional looking email with photos and more because UnitWise makes the emailing process extremely simple.

You can also schedule emails to be sent out in advance, so you can quickly plan all your emails for the week, month, or even a year! This way you won’t forget about birthdays or anniversaries, and won’t have to rush to create a last minute email.

Everyone on your email list can be put in a custom group. For example, you can put all of your unit members in one group, all of your customers from Colorado in a group, and all of your leads in another group.

The possibilities are endless, and this is great because it allows you to create emails to target specific groups. For instance, if you know a particular group of people enjoys the hand repair kit you can send them a coupon for hand creams.

Plus, the emails are personalized with each of your client’s first names, and other email addresses are hidden, so each email will feel like it was personalized, just for them.

Best of all, UnitWise provides all of the necessary tools for you to see how well your emails are doing. You’ll receive detailed reports about how many people opened your emails, ignored them, went to your site, bought something, unsubscribed.

The results will help you pinpoint what sales your customers react the best to, what day of the week it’s best to send emails out on, and even the best time of day to send your emails. By taking a few minutes to study the results you’ll become the ultimate master of email marketing.

Fight Winter Dry Skin

The weather out there is frightful, but in here it’s also not very delightful, because when the heater runs and the fireplace glows, you get dried out from head to toe. When thinking about the winter season you may remember your beautifully decorated Christmas tree, delicious food, too much pie, and dazzling lights, but did you forget about your dry skin?

The cool air and snow may bring about winter beauty and magic, but it also dries out your skin causing redness, itching, dandruff, eczema, and more! Don’t let dryness ruin your winter wonderland, fight back against winter dryness instead with these helpful tips from UnitWise!

Your Head

Let’s start at the top, with your hair and scalp, otherwise, you could be brushing dandruff off your shoulders, or dealing with dry, frizzy hair all season long.

When the season takes a turn with bitter cold, rainy or snowy days be prepared with moisturizing shampoos on hand, like anti-dandruff or all natural tea tree oil shampoos to give your scalp a boost of moisture before the dry season hits. You should also invest is a deep penetrating conditioner.

Also, prior to showering, you can moisturize your scalp with an all-natural cream or oil mask. Peppermint oil, coconut oil, and olive oil are all popular to use before taking a shower.

Speaking of showers, take less of them. Invest in dry shampoo to clean and refresh your hair. The don’t wash your hair everyday train has already been going full speed for a while, so it’s time to hop on it.

To protect your hair from dryness avoid drying it as much as you can. Maybe wait a while before drying it to spend less time with the hair dryer, or throw your hair in a bun and wait for it to dry on its own.

One last thing, before going outdoors put on your cute winter cap to protect your hair and scalp from harsh winter temperatures and conditions.

Your Face

To keep your skin nice and moist it’s all about hydration, so step up your moisturizer game. Put it on morning and night. Also, put your summer moisturizer away to hibernate, and bust out a winter moisturizer. By that, we mean a moisturizer that’s oil-based, as it will help protect your skin from winter temperatures, the wind, and dryness. Usually ‘creams’ are oil based.

While washing your face or using a skin mask avoid ones with alcohol listed in the ingredients as it will really dry your skin out. Plus, be weary of clay masks that could suck the moisture right out of your pores.

Before going outside prep your skin with sunscreen. Winter actually has the harshest UV rays, and even though we’re cold and can’t feel them, they can do a number on our skin. The sun rays also reflect off of the snow and hit your face a second time, deepening its skin burning and drying effect.

Don’t forget about your lips. Nobody wants, dry, cracking, and burning lips because they could really kill the mistletoe vibe. Exfoliate any dead skin away with a dry toothbrush then hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Use lip creams, lipsticks, and chapsticks in the morning and take them with you to reapply all day. Try to find a brand that has an SPF of at least 15 to protect your lips from the sun.

Your Arms and Elbows

Winter, tis the season to be dry and itchy as eczema flares up all over your arms. Prevent your arms from drying out by taking shorter, lukewarm showers. I know during the winter all you want is a piping hot shower or bath, but they can really dry you out.

When you’re in the shower make sure you’re using a soft, gentle soap without chemicals like lye in it and only wash your necessary body parts like your armpits. Avoid soaping your extremities as it can cause your skin and elbows to become dehydrated.

Soak your skin in a lukewarm bath that has oatmeal in it. You can buy a premade bath bomb or grind your own oats to create a moisturizing solution to soak in. This will provide moisture for your arms, legs, hands, and feet!

After your shower or bathe when your skin and elbows are still moist apply lotion immediately. However, you may need to use an exfoliating elbow scrub before putting on lotion.

Keep it mind that it’s time to double up on the moisturizer regiment. Put on a deep moisturizing cream, lotion, oils like coconut, or vaseline twice a day. Avoid any scented fragrances or shimmering lotions that may irritate your skin.

Avoid heavy fabrics that weigh you down like wool, and wear a lightweight breathable fabric like cotton instead so your skin can breathe.

Bust out your humidifier. As you run the heat in your home you’ll be drying out the air, so use your humidifier to counteract some of the dryness. As a result, your skin will have more moisture and your sinus cavities may thank you.

Your Hands

Dry cracked hands can feel like a plague as they itch and burn with no relief, so be sure to keep your hands nice and soft with the following tips.

Wash your hands only when you absolutely need to, and when you do, use a soft gentle soap or a moisturizing soap. Then right after washing your hands put some lotion or vaseline on them, every time.

Put some lotion in your purse and carry it everywhere to protect yourself when winter dryness hits.

The winter elements can strike both inside your home and out, so be ready and protect your hands. When cleaning your home or doing the dishes wear a pair of rubber gloves to prevent chemicals and soaps from drying out your skin. When outdoors wear a pair of gloves to keep your hands dry and warm, out of the cold wind and snow. However, if your hands start to sweat to take your gloves immediately.

You can also exfoliate your hands with a sugar scrub to get rid of dry, hard skin, then moisturize after to really give your lotion time to sink in.

Before bed, you can seal in your lotion by slathering some on your hands then putting on soft cotton gloves or socks so the lotion won’t rub off. Instead, it will penetrate deeply to fight winter dryness.

Your Feet

For some reason when flipflops are put away and the boots come out we forget about our feet, but even though we can’t see them, they can still dry out.

Maintain foot moisture like the rest of the body, with a gentle soap, and by moisturizing after getting out of a lukewarm shower.

Also, remember to exfoliate your feet by using a soft brush or stone. Foot tools found at local stores work wonders for dry heels.

When moisturizing you can use your normal lotion, and vaseline is great to use as well, but there are also foot creams available filled with soothing items like tea tree oil, peppermint, and more.

When trekking through the winter conditions think about what you’re wearing. Shoes or boots that don’t rub or chafe your feet. You don’t want to create a foot sauna either. Do you really need fur-lined boots and 3 pairs of socks? Because that will generate a lot of heat that will dry your feet out. Keep them warm, yet cool. Plus, be sure to get your feet out of wet shoes or socks immediately.

Winter Wonder Skin

Don’t dry out and suffer from itchy, dry skin that may even burn a little. Enjoy your winter season, with soft, moisturized skin instead! Please be sure to share your moisturizing tips in the comment section below.

The Fuss About Blush

As most of you already know, blush is important. However, it often isn’t grouped with the rockstar, must-have products like eyeliner or lipstick. Blush just sits back there on the backburner as one of the products people can live without. This is highly unfortunate because blush does great things for your look and has been around for centuries.

The History of Blush

Nowadays makeup is the special treat for girls only, but way back in the day, seriously way back, thousands of years ago, both men and women in ancient Egypt wore eyeliner, lipstick, and most importantly, blush. They used red pigments from various berries and ground ochre to rub on their cheeks and lips to add pops of color with their dark eye makeup.

To be a sexy ancient Greek, you needed two things, pale skin, and lively rosy cheeks. The Greeks used mulberries to stain their cheeks red to achieve a lively, healthy glow.

Drawing on this fad, royalty all across Europe had pale skin and red cheeks. If you were tan that meant you were a peasant or a field worker. Royalty couldn’t have that, so they were dying to get their hands on some color.

Literally, dying. They painted their faces with white pastes made out of lead and vinegar. The ill effect of this makeup concoction was killing husbands left and right after they accidentally ingested some of it.

Then as Christianity rose, makeup took a decline. It as associated with prostitutes and seen as downright indecent. However, this didn’t stop British and French ladies from pinching their cheeks and using beet juice in secret to color their cheeks.

Soon enough Queen Elizabeth the first made makeup popular again, even though it came with risks. The arsenic, mercury, and other harmful chemicals in makeup turned skin gray, made hair fall out, caused miscarriages, and more.

Luckily for us, the FDA stepped in in the late 1800’s to regulate the ingredients found in blush and other makeup products to keep them safe for our skin. Then makeup companies really started to take off!

What Blush can do for Your Face

Blush is an important part of your makeup collection because it will:

  • Give you a healthy, natural glow.
  • Make you look younger.
  • Highlight your other features, like the perfect wingman.
  • Adds to your contour and shapes your face.
  • Defines your cheekbones, and more.

Finding Your Perfect Shade of Blush

It can be daunting to go into a makeup store and pick out a shade of blush, especially with so many different colors to choose from these days. Start with the color you like most, no one knows better about your individual style than you.

However, if you’d like a guide, those with paler collections should stick with light shades of pinks, peaches, and mochas.

Those on the more tan side should dabble with oranges and red.

If your skin is dark then check out the bold shades of vibrant reds, pinks, and oranges!

Types of Blush

Finding the right color is as equally important as finding the right type.

Powder blush is best for those with oily skin as it will help soak up moisture and easily glide across their cheeks, making it extremely easy for them to blend in.

Liquid blush is a good option for those with dry skin, as it won’t stick to wrinkles and will help hydrate the skin.

Cream and gel blushes are slightly thicker than liquid blush, and a little more dry. They easily glide on and are easy to blend.

Blush pencils are great for beginners because they can simply trace their cheekbones and add small amounts of color as needed, without over doing it.

How to Apply Blush

Blush is very simple to apply. First, put your primer and foundation as normal then either smile or suck your cheeks in to make a fishy face. Wherever your cheeks have a curve or an ‘apple’ is where you should apply your blush.

Trace your cheek bone, but make sure that you don’t go past your nostrils or the corners of your eyes.

Use a wide angled brush and an angle and gently blend your blush in small circles. Knock any excess blush off of the brush prior to blending to avoid using too much.

If you use too much blush, don’t panic or frantically wipe off your face. Take a dry cloth or tissue and blot your cheeks to soak up some of the color.

Be a Blush pro

Now you have all the blush facts from a little history to how to put it on. Spread your blush knowledge and make sure this neglected beauty product gets the attention and use that it deserves!
