Creating Online Forms

One of the most versatile features of your UnitWise website is the ability to create online forms.  These Forms can be used to collect information from the people who visit your site.  This can be basic contact information, polls, vouchers, or anything else you can come up with.

You can even make certain fields mandatory!

Text Guide:

-  First you will need to edit one of your website pages in UnitWise under Social Media
-  To begin creating a Form, click on the icon that looks like a dotted rectangle and says “Form.”  Then, you only need to enter the name of the Form and click OK
-  These Forms can consist of Open-Ended Questions, Multiple Choice Questions, lists, and more
-  Lets Start with creating a Text Field.  This is useful if you would like to collect info such as names, phone numbers, etc.
-  Start by entering what information you are collecting.  Such as a Name.  Then Click the Text Field icon.
-  Then enter the name of this text field, then enter character width of 20-30 this determines how long the box is.  Then Enter the Maximum Characters that someone can put into this field. Then click “OK”
-  If there are things you would like to change about this form, you can double-click the box and make some changes.
-  You can keep adding fields like this one, or you can do something a little different.
-  If you would like to give the User some options, add Radio Buttons by clicking the dot icon that says radiobutton
-  Name the button, then type in what it represents
-  You can also use checkboxes in this manner if you want the users to check all that apply
-  Now lets add a Drop Down Menu
-  Go to the Icon that says Selection Field
-  Give it a name and then select the number of lines.  You will likely want to limit it to one line.  Then select the same text for text and value and click add.  Click OK when you are satisfied with the drop down options
-  In the End, you will need to add a Submit Button so that this information will be sent to you
-  To do this, select the icon that is titled “Button”
-  Then type in Submit for Type and Value.  Be sure the Type is Button.  Then Click OK
-  If you would like to have this information sent to someone else, like say, your virtual assistant.  Then you can do that also.
-  To do this click in the area right before the Submit button
-  Then go to add a Hidden Field.  
-  For the name of this form type “form notify email” as one word.  formnotifyemail.  And for the value, type in the email address that the email notification should go to.  Then Click OK
If you would like to make certain fields mandatory, you can do that through the source code by clicking “Source”
-  To make a text box or a text area mandatory, first find the field in the html code
-  In the line of code for the text box, you will need to add class="required"  and title="This information is required"
-  This way, the user will not be allowed to submit the form until the required field is completed.  If the user clicks the submit button without entering any value in that particular field, the text we entered for the "title"  will show up in red.
-  When the Form is completed, it will then be sent in an email.  It will also appear in UnitWise in the Social Media Tab entitled “Form Messages”
-  Now lets Update this page and check out the finished form on your website.
-  And There it is.  Feel Free to Get Creative to collect useful information from your users.  
-  If you would like to check the messages from the website forms, you can do that by clicking on Form Messages under the Social Media Tab
-  Here you can view all of your messages.
-  It’s that easy to collect information from your website visitors

Connect to Facebook

With UnitWise, you can now connect to your Personal Facebook account or even your Facebook Business Page.   

In order to help you save time, you can post directly to your personal or business Facebook page through UnitWise!  This allows you to write status updates, share links, photos, and even schedule them to be sent in the future!

To access this, you can go to Social media >> Facebook.  From Here, click “Facebook Settings.”  Then select the link that says “Click Here to Set Facebook Account Details”

From here, you can sign in to Facebook and click “Go To App”

If you are using facebook as a Personal Page, you can now use UnitWise to post your status updates.

If you are trying to connect to a Facebook business page, you will then need to select “Facebook Settings”  then enter the username for your business page.

Now you are able to write posts and schedule them up to 2 years in advance!

Last week, we held a Contest for our users to add documents to the Shared Library.  The person who added the most over last week would win a Free Custom Designed Website.  That person was Pamela Sears!  We are thrilled to be designing a brand new custom website for her to use with her UnitWise account.

Happy Indian Independence Day

The UnitWise Heroes would like to wish a Happy Indian Independence Day to our tech team.  Many of our programmers and analysts for UnitWise are from India, and we would like to wish them a Happy Indian Independence Day as well as thank them for their hard work in creating such a great program.

Using the Shared Document Library

You can use The Shared Document Library to share your documents with the entire UnitWise community.  Likewise, you can also browse public documents and add them to your Document Library, Website, and Emails.  This gives you the opportunity to add more training documents to your training center, and get inspired by what other Directors and Consultants are doing across the US. 

When you share a file in the Shared Training Center, you still retain total control of the file.  you can choose to edit it's name or remove it from the shared library at any time.  Your documents will also be credited to you.  Each file in the Shared library features the owner's name under the document name. 

You can even rate public documents on a scale of 1 - 5 Stars.  This way you can see what other UnitWise users like.

This New Feature can be used for Documents, Images, Audio Files, and Videos.

So, go ahead and start sharing!

This New Feature can be accessed from the Resource Library >> Shared Library.

To Add a shared file to your Library, you can select the check box for the file(s), then click the button that says "Copy to My Document Library"

To Share one of your files to the Shared Document Library, you can select the check box for the file(s) you would like to share, then click the button that says "Share Document"

* Notice
- copying files will only continue to work as long as the owner continues to share these files, if the file is un-shared the copied file will not continue to work. However to avoid any potential errors, you can add a file to your Resource Library or save it to your computer to ensure that the file is within your control.

Please help keep your shared library clean by making sure you upload your content to the appropriate categories.
