UnitWise LIVE with Linda Heeschen

The Heroes kicked off their Summer Tour yesterday evening with a trip to Charlottesville, Virginia to meet with Director, Linda Heeschen and her Unit.  UnitWise Heroes: Glenn and Charles were thrilled at the opportunity to meet with Linda's fabulous team of Independent Beauty Consultants and Directors!  

During this Live Demo, the UnitWise Heroes were able to explain the many features and benefits of using UnitWise as well as take many questions from the Unit.  

We would like to thank Linda and her Luminous Ladies for inviting us!  Their active participation throughout the evening made for a very open and enjoyable conversation.  It was a real pleasure to speak directly with her team and be part of their Unit Meeting!

Happy Memorial Day!

Recurring Expenses

You can now record business expenses that you incur weekly, monthly, or another regular basis in your UnitWise account!  This allows you to enter an expense (such as Rent) and set it up to occur monthly on a certain day for a specific time period.

To Access this new tool go to Accounts >> Expenses >> Add Expense.  

As you can see from the image, each expense now includes a repeating option.  These events can be repeated daily, Mon-Fri, Tues+Thurs, Mon+Wed+Fri, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.  

You can also select whether this event should repeat on a certain day of the month (1st, 15th, etc.)  or day of the week (Sun, Mon, Tues, etc.)

A vital part of creating a recurring expense is selecting a Range.  You must specify how long this recurring Expense remains active.  For example, your rent amount may change from year to year, therefore this expense should be setup on a yearly basis.

Keep Your Customer Information Secure!

As an Independent Beauty Consultant or Director, your business is always on the go because you are on the go.  This means that your transactions are occurring at many different locations; you may sell products at your home, a client's home, a party, etc.  Since your business has you traveling everywhere, wouldn't it be great to manage your business from anywhere?

How to Record Personal Use, Demo or Donations Transactions

Once you have created the Personal Use/Demo or Donations customer and you wish to add products that you intend for your Personal Use/Demos or Donations follow these steps:

1.  Create an Invoice for the Personal Use/Demo or Donations customer.Enter the products and click Save

2. At the end of the year you can run a report to tally either your Personal Use/Demo or Donations total sales. To access this report, go to Home > Reports > Sales > Sales Breakdown  > enter Personal Use/Demo or Donations in the search field > Run Report.

Note: Remember to setup these customers with a default discount (50% for Personal Use/Demo, 100% for Donations) so that it will automatically track these transactions at your actual cost.

Importing Purchase Orders from Intouch

To import your order from Intouch:

1.  Go to Inventory > Order from MK > Create Purchase Order 

2.  Click on Import from Intouch

A new window will open and display instructions with an Enter URL field.

3.  Open another internet browser tab and login to Intouch and go to Order Status and locate your order. If you cannot locate your order in Order Status, you can go to Business Tools > My Business > My Order History and locate your order there.
4.  Then, click on the (shipped) link next to the order, once the order opens copy the URL or web address and paste it into the Enter URL box in UnitWise. Click Import Products

5.  Once you have imported the products into the Purchase Order, you will need to select an account to Pay From. This will NOT charge you any amount and is only here to ensure your UnitWise Accounts reflect your actual bank accounts. If you do not remember your payment form or do not keep accurate account records in UnitWise, you can select any account and transfer funds at a later date.
6.  Once you have selected the Pay From account, enter the Amount. This amount must equal the Total Cost of the order. Click Save

7.  After your Purchase Order has been saved, you will then need to click the gray box Click Here to Confirm Order with Intouch.

NOTE: Before you can add the products to your inventory, you must first receive them. If you have not yet received the products, it is recommended that you do not move on to the next step unless you have the products on hand in order to avoid any inventory inaccuracies.

8.  If you have the products on hand while creating and importing the Purchase Order, you can click on Receive Products

If you saved the Purchase Order previously and have just now received your products, go to Inventory > Order from MK and click on Receive Products.

9.   If you have received all products, click Receive All & Save. If you are missing products from your order, enter which you have received and click Save.
