Power Outage

As you may have noticed, UnitWise was temporarily unavailable late Friday evening and early Saturday morning.  This unexpected outage was caused due to some Violent Thunderstorms that affected sections of northern Virginia, Maryland, and the Washington DC area.
[Click Here to read more about these storms and consequential damages]

Now, you may be asking why this affected UnitWise?  Since we are based in Rock Hill, SC.  As you may recall, we upgraded our servers in January to be hosted on the Amazon Cloud.

Our Servers on Amazon are built with many redundancies, and are throughout the country to prevent events like this from happening.  However, technology can only come so far when faced with a natural disaster or act of God.  In this situation, one of Amazon’s Data Centers located in northern Virginia suffered from a severe electrical storm that impacted both utility power and multiple backup generators.

UnitWise was not alone in this brief outage.  Other companies such as Netflix, Pinterest, and Instagram all experienced significant downtime Friday night and Saturday morning due to these thunderstorms in north Virginia that affected our shared Amazon Data Center.

As of this morning UnitWise was up and running properly thanks to the diligence of our programming team that has been working through the night and weekend with very little sleep to make sure that UnitWise is up and running properly.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are still thankful that this issue was able to be resolved in only a few hours.

If you have further questions about this, you can contact us at or give us a call at 704.234.6006

Thank You For Calling

If you were to visit the UnitWise office in Rock Hill, SC (by the way, you are welcome to drop by anytime) you would find Real People.  Makes sense right?  While it makes perfect sense to us, it is not always common to find a company that actually employs a team that is dedicated to customer service.

It is all too common for companies to outsource jobs like customer support, but this practice is rarely met with enthusiasm on the part of their customers.  Because of this, UnitWise has a dedicated team of Heroes who are always standing by to take any calls, emails, and chats that come in.

This service is always available for no additional fees to all of our customers.  So please don't hesitate to take advantage of it.  We offer Phone support, online chat, Skype, online meetings, and 24/7 email support.

We offer online training sessions through webinars that are posted on the Upcoming Events page of UnitWise.  You are welcome to attend as many of these as you would like at absolutely no cost.  If the scheduled webinars do not fit your schedule, the Heroes would love to make an appointment just for you.

UnitWise Inventory Questions

Many of you have forwarded the below email to keep us notified. Thank You.

Julie's email is misleading. Like with any user request, we looked into hers and responded back with the log and the audit trail for her inventory - every invoice, sales receipt, purchase order, loan/borrow and exchange was accounted for.

After verifying this, we called and discussed with her that we have the log to track every transaction and the count matches correctly.
Then we received the below email.

If you need more info about your inventory count, please send us a detailed email with the part number(s) in question and we will be happy to look into it for you.

We stand behind our program 100%
and are always available to help with any issues that you may have with your UnitWise account.

Please send any inquiries to
Thank You
