UnitWise Reports | Reporting for Duty!

Reports. Gotta love ‘em! They tell us everything we want to know, need to know, and sometimes what we really don’t want to know. But they save us loads of time so we can be doing what we love best– spending time with our customers, working on our businesses, and sharing time with family and friends.

Recently, a UnitWise user asked a Good Question.

She wanted to pull a sales report for a specific month. But she wanted the report to have the customers’ names along with the sales so she can follow up with these customers.

She had already searched reports and pulled up Invoices for the month, but that report does not include the customers who purchased those items.

Does such a report showing sales with customer names exist? Yes it does!

This handy report is called Sales Breakdown.

It is located in Home>>Reports>>Sales>>Sales Breakdown.

(BTW, If you aren’t seeing the Sales Tab right away, compress the Customer Tab by clicking on the >> and you will see all eight report categories.)
Click on the Sales Breakdown Report. Here you can see where you can customize the report to suit your inquiry.
Plug in the required data, hit Run Report, and there you are! Customer and Sales all in one place.

And it only gets better.  Eight Reports You can Find in UnitWise.
Sales Reports aren’t all that UW has to offer! Reports are an integral component of the UnitWise Business Management System. Accounts: This category offers the kind of reports that will just make your Accountant’s heart go all aflutter.

WAS: Gross receipts, sales counts, and monthly sales and counts. It’s all here keeping everyone on time and on target.

Tips & Tricks: Top 5 Translucent Powder Hacks

Makeup tricks with translucent powder and brush.

If you have the MK Translucent Loose Powder, did you know it can be used for more than just setting your flawless makeup? There are tons of great makeup hacks for your translucent powder that you probably didn't even know existed. I tested every tip and hack you could image with the UnitWise Heroes to bring you today's Tips & Tricks: Top 5 Translucent Powder Hacks.

1. Oily Eyelids Are Ruining My Cat Eye Liner
If you have oily eyelids, meaning that your gel eyeliner transfers on your top lid and you look like you messed up on a graphic liner attempt, then dust some of your translucent powder on those lids before you apply your liner. It's like magic...just poof and oiliness is no more.

2. My Lipstick Is Shiny And I Want MATTE! And Maybe For It To Stay All Day
Why buy tons of matte lipsticks when you can easily transform the ones you already have? Unless you are addicted to lipstick like me and can never have enough, then it's good to just pass on this idea to friends. This little hack is super easy and looks really silly when you do it, but have faith because it totally works. Grab a tissue and pull it apart so it is only one ply. Then grab a medium fluffy brush and dip it in your translucent powder. Take your one ply tissue and put it over your lips with one hand and press your brush with the product on it over the lips with the other. Basically you are holding a tissue to your lips and pressing powder over it. Sounds weird, but try it and you will be amazed. This hack also gives your lipstick some serious staying power.

3. I Want Va-Va Voom Lashes Without Having To Go Through All That False Eyelash Mess
Oh honey, the false eyelash struggle is real. You got to get out that glue and measure your lashes, then trim them, and waiting for that glue to set is like an eternity. So...try this little nifty hack. Put on a coat of your favorite mascara (mine is the MK Ultimate, it's my ride or die mascara) then dust a bit of translucent powder over your lashes. Apply another coat and do the same process again until you reach your desired level of fluffyness. I get a lot of volume at the base of my lashes with this hack and it's super easy. I would recommend using a small eyeshadow brush to apply the powder.

4. My Hair Is Greasy, I'm Out of Dry Shampoo, and It's Not My Hair Washing Day
Have you ever ran out of dry shampoo when you really, really need it? I have and I just needed a little bit to de-grease my front sections so I could whip my hair in a cute bun. But no, my dry shampoo decided it was time to leave me. I remembered a friend telling me she dusted a smidgen of translucent powder in her hair and more oily looking roots. I grabbed my translucent powder, dusted it on, and low and behold she was right. Bad hair days just don't exist in my world anymore.

5. I Want Glitter Eyes, Not A Disco Ball Face
I don't care how old you are, anyone can rock some glitter on their eyes. The problem is getting it to stay there and not invade the surrounding territories of your face making you look like a disco ball. Before you apply glitter to your lids, pack on a thick layer of translucent powder under your eyes. This will catch all those pesky glitters that don't believe in staying where they are put. When you are done, simply brush the powder away and your flawless face will be revealed.

These are only a few of the hacks for translucent powders. Share them with your friends, clients, and the whole beauty world. And if you have any more hacks for translucent powder, comment below! You can never have enough beauty hacks. Have a wonderful day and thank you for reading!

Tips & Tricks: Finding The Perfect Foundation Shade

I always have a difficult time finding the right foundation shade. I feel all of us do and we always end up saying...

That brand's shades are always too dark or too light
They only make shades for pink undertones
There's never a shade pale enough

Don't let that negativity make finding the right shade a nightmare. I have some great tips and tricks for you to find the foundation shade of your dreams. The UnitWise Heroes have been testing theories and methods and now we're ready to share them with you.

What In The World Does Undertones Mean?
This question used to always trip me up. You've seen labels describe shades for pinky-beige undertones, yellow, cool tones and even (no lie) blue-green undertones. Well my dear, we actually have a mix of all it in our skin tones. There is a few different tests out there to find out which tone is more prominent in your skin.

The White/Off-White Test
Make sure you take off all your makeup and pull your hair into a ponytail so it doesn't interfere with your test.

Take a piece of white clothing (or some printer paper works great too) and take a piece of off white clothing and hold them up to your face one at a time. If you feel like you look better in white, then your undertones are most likely warm. This is your darker, beiges and yellow undertones. If you feel like the white washes you out, see what it looks like when you hold the off-white piece of clothing up to your face. If you feel like the off-white complements you better, then your undertones are most likely cool. This would be your pinks, blues, and sometimes beiges (depends on the brand). This test is one of the easiest ones because it involves bringing in a separate object to compare so you really see the difference.

The Vein Test
I'm not a big fan of looking at my veins to determine color because my skin tone changes and it's hard for me to tell. But this test is still a good one to try and it's fun to do with your girlfriends.

Look at the veins on your inner arm. If they are olive tone (greenish) then you are warm toned. If they are straight up blue, then you are cool toned. If they are a bit of both, or you really can't tell, then you are neutral. You really can't go wrong with a neutral toned foundation; they always work.

Weird word but totally necessary when testing foundations. It's hard for me to swatch foundation on my face in a store. The lighting is all weird and I don't want to walk around with foundation swatches on my face making me look like an Amazon Warrior (only on special occasions). I find that swatching foundation on my inner arm where the skin is more delicate gives the best result. This way you don't need a mirror to see the swatch and you don't accidentally forget you have 5 foundations on your neck and no one tells you (welcome to my life).

Mixing Foundations To create Your Perfect Shade
This technique is my jam. I'll admit I have a lot of foundations, but I do use them all. I usually end up buying 2 shades of a foundation I like; one slightly lighter and one darker than my skin tone. This way allows you to mix foundations to create the perfect shade for your ever changing skin tone. It also lets you play Mad Scientist with your foundations and that's always a good time (insert villain laugh).

Makeup should be fun and not stressful. It might be a full on quest to find the perfect shade for you if you don't open up your mind to just try all of it. Play Mad Scientist every day with your makeup and do what makes you happy. What are your tips and tricks for finding the perfect foundation shade?
