Financial Goals!

Stop and think about this for awhile.  What do you NEED are the immediate financial goals for your family?  Bills to be paid or an income to replace.  Knowing exactly what you need monthly or weekly will give you a Sales Goal to reach.  Women are buying cosmetics everyday and if you don't what you NEED then you probably won't show and tell enough women to reach what you NEED!
Now think about what you WANT...this is the deep desire of your heart.  This is the true motivating factor in your life.  Being a stay home mom motivated me out of my belief-zone and comfort-zone many times when I started Mary Kay.  If MK didn't work then I would have to go get a job and that wasn't going to happen so I found a way or made a way to stay home for 21 years now!!  Now my deep desire is to be a National Director and start NIQ 1-2-12.  It's all I think is this going to get me there?  What is going to be like as a MK and in my home and in my relationships?  What choices will I have and where will I be vacationing?  Who can I help to move up and who do I want in my life for the next 20 years?
When your WANT and NEED are so vividly etched in your will find new ways to reach your Dreams...BECAUSE IN MARY KAY DREAMS DO COME TRUE IF YOU ARE WILLING TO BELIEVE IT AND THEN DO THE WORK TO ACHIEVE IT!!!

Are you Saving the Nation with Foundation?

I hope you have your sights set on stripe testing at least 30 women this month!  When you do, you’ll be writing up tons of invoices because these foundations are amazing and women want to take them home!  Did you know you can change up the “look” to your invoice?  You can do this easily by going to your UW Dashboard and from there clicking on Settings>Preferences>Sales/Order.  Here you can use the drop down menu on the right to change from Pink to Gray, depending on the style you like best.  Check your default sales tax rate and feel free to customize the way you want UW to calculate sales tax when giving a customer a discount.  And the best part, you have both the Header and the Footer that can be personalized!  I recently updated my footer with a note letting my customers know I’m on a mission to Save the Nation with Foundation and I need their help!

I often hear Consultants tell me that they can't attend trainings because of this and that.  In the Corporate world, weekly sales meetings are a vital part of the job.  When you are self-employed and have to be self-motivated, it becomes a critical component to your success.  Setting this meeting time in your schedule should be a priority just like...taking a class at the community college so that one day you can increase your income...working a part-time job, etc.
Are you really too busy?  Talking to a Jewel last week.  She was sharing all that was on her plate and how it's just a challenge right now.  Then I reminded her when she was employed last month at a job she left almost everyday crying...she still showed up everyday! She attended the training that night and gained new incites to her business and came back with a model on Thursday night to sell over $100.  So 2 nights-4 hours...she profited $50. AND in MK when that customer reorders, she will get paid over and over for those 4 hours she invested in her business.  Plus the referrals she received will continue to grow.

It’s a beautiful day in Mary Kay!

Have you been using the new e-catalog version of the Look?  I love this tool and I have a fun way to share how I am using it with my UW email signature. I think it looks impressive to have a formal signature down at the bottom of your emails.  When you have a signature in your emails, it saves you time but also gives a very eye-catching reminder to shop with YOU!  Sometimes, just our website links are not enough to drive people to websites to shop with us.  

First, go to UW and go to the Settings>Preferences>Web Settings tab.  You will see a place to change the text on the “auto-reply email” for anyone that visits your webpage here.  In addition, you will find underneath that two places where you can enter your email signature.  You can have one for personal emails and one for business and you decide which one you want as default.  Here you will want to enter the information such as your name, title or business tag line, and contact information such as your business phone number and website address.  In addition, UW allows you the ability to put pictures and links into your signature and that’s where we can make this look impressive! 

Once you’ve entered your contact information keep UW open and then go to and visit Product Central. Here you’ll find a link to the image of the current issue of the Look e-catalog.  Right click on the Look image and copy the image URL.  Then go back to your signature page in UW and click on the Image button to add this image by pasting this image URL.  Now, you can also hyperlink this image so anyone that views your signature can click on it and go directly to the e-catalog. *** This next part is VERY important. After you have the picture of the Look in your signature you will want to hyperlink it to YOUR e-catalog link.  In the same area in Product Central right click on View the latest the Look e-catalog HERE.  You’ll want to copy and paste the link from there to the hyperlink window in UW. You’ll notice this link is specific to YOUR personal website.  Here’s what I mean.  When a customer clicks on the image they will then view the e-catalog.  They will also have the ability to click on products to order them. This link will make sure they get directed to YOUR website to place their orders!   

Design your signature today and make your business stand out! 

You can get creative with this e-catalog.  I also send the e-catalog to hostesses to get them excited about the products they can earn free at their party!
