Meet Our NSD's: Diane Underwood

Dianne Underwood is a Sales Director for Undies Wondies National Area.  I recently had the opportunity to interview her about her experience with Mary Kay.

When did you first get involved in Mary Kay? 

-1978 

When did you become not only involved, but Passionate about Mary Kay? 

-About two years into it.  The seminars and conferences really inspired me. 

How have you been inspired by the life of Mary Kay Ash?   

-There are so many ways, I have been especially inspired by her Christian approach to the company philosophy.  Her words of wisdom, humor, and work ethic are also very inspirational to me. 

How has your life changed since Mary Kay first came into your life? 

-My life has been drastically different in a Great Way!  I have a great income, flexibility, and I am able to keep my priorities in order. 

What is your favorite part of being involved in Mary Kay? 

-Being able to work with and help my customers, consultants, and directors. 

How has the internet changed the way you do business? 

-It is now much easier to communicate with my Unit. 

How much time do you spend online each day? 

-About two hours 

What is your preferred way of contacting your Unit? 

-My favorite way of communicating is through phone calls, but I also use email a lot. 

Do you use social media? 

-I do use Facebook a little. 

How would you describe your balance between your work and personal life? 

-Perfect!  I love being able to spend time with my grandchildren and friends.  

What are your keys to success? 

-Have a Positive Attitude 

-Expect Good Things to Happen 

-Be Consistent and Disciplined 

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

-Spending time with my grandchildren
-Going to the beach
-Yoga
-Reading
 

What do you think about UnitWise?
-I had Unitnet, but I like that UnitWise has much more to offer.  I love my website, and I appreciate the very helpful customer service i receive from UnitWise
 

What Motivates and Inspires you?
-Seeing people's success
-Being able to help people reach their goals.
-I am also motivated to complete challenges
 

What advice would you give other Directors and Consultants?
-Listen to your Director's advice
-Ask for advice from someone that you would like to trade places with-Dream, and Believe that you can achieve that Dream.
