UnitWise Prayer Call: "You Are Special"

Today was the very first UnitWise Prayer Call!  This call was conducted by Dr. Roger Brown, who serves as our in-house pastor and one of the Heroes at UnitWise.  

The message consisted of a short devotion and a prayer via conference call.  Dr. Brown's message entitled: "You Are Special" served as a reminder that God created us in His own image and we are the apple of His eye. 

Dr. Brown also reminded us of a statement from Mary Kay Ash: "Every person is special.  Each of us wants to feel good about ourselves, but to me, it is just as important to make others feel the same way.  Whenever I meet someone, I try to imagine him or her wearing an invisible sign that says: 'make me feel important!' I respond to this sign immediately, and it works wonders."  

This technique from Mary Kay Ash did work wonders, and it is because she displayed an excellent model of how God loves us.  Each one of us is special to God, and we are called to share God's love with those in our life, by helping people feel special and caring about their needs. 

In Matthew 10:30 we are reminded that "Even the hairs of your head are all numbered."  This shows us how much of an interest God takes in our lives.  This amazing example shows us how we should strive to care for those around us.  Even though you may not ever memorize how many hairs someone has on their head, you still have quite an opportunity to make all of your Customers, Unit Members, etc. feel special on a daily basis.
