Tips & Tricks: Be A Glowing Goddess
Even though it's not officially Summer just yet, I won't let that stop me from showing off the perfect summer glow. Don't you just feel better about life when you rock that bronzed beauty look? The UnitWise Heroes have been all about dewy, glowy skin for the spring/summer and want to share their bronzed beauty secrets with you. Grab your sunglasses, we're about to glow like the stars we are in this week's Tips & Tricks: Be A Glowing Goddess!
Prep (most important step)
You can't have beautiful glowy skin without proper skin care. The key to radiant skin is to exfoliate. Dry patches and dull skin will definitely ruin your glowing look. I highly recommend exfoliating your skin at least twice a week with a microderm exfoliant (a very fine exfoliator). Larger, more coarse, exfoliators really irritate the delicate skin on your face and don't work as well at buffing away dull, dry skin. The MK Microdermabrasion set is amazing at buffing away all that ick (you know what I mean) and revealing gorgeous radiant skin. Do be careful not to over-exfoliate or you will end up with red irritated skin that will need time to heal - not cute.
To Get That Glow From Within Look
We all want that Glow From Within look that makes us all sing "I Woke Up Like This." Getting that Beyoncé glow isn't as difficult as you might think, and you most likely have everything you need to create it. If you use MK skin care then you already have the moisturizer - Day Solution Sunscreen Broad Spectrum. That stuff is like a vacation in a bottle; it already has a touch of luminizing magic in it to give you a nice base. Then if you want to go a tiny step further, pat on a luminizing primer on your cheeks, forehead, and chin. Don't worry if you sparkle like a disco ball, there is one more step to pull it all together.
Once you have your luminizing moisturizer and primer (only if you want), then apply a light coverage foundation, CC cream, or tinted moisturizer. You don't want anything real heavy or that will cover up all your glowing magic you just applied. The luminizing moisturizer you applied (and primer if you applied it) will glow through the light coverage foundation/tinted moisturizer you put on top. It sounds a bit strange, but totally works and give a gorgeous Glow From Within finish.
Another Way To Glow
If you don't have a luminizing moisturizer or primer, don't worry there are other ways to glow. You can simply apply a bronzer to the cheeks - like you would blush - and it creates a lovely bronzed goddess glow. If you have a liquid highlighter, you can mix it in with your foundation/tinted moisturizer and glow your heart out. Sometimes I mix a liquid highlighter with my tinted moisturizer and apply a bronzer on my cheeks; a little excessive but it looks so pretty in pictures, especially after I applied my fake tan. You know what they say, fake it 'til you make it!
There are other ways to achieve that glowing skin we all love for the summer, it just takes a little creative makeup fun. What tips and tricks do you for glowing skin that just won't quit?
