Tips & Tricks: A Very Mary Kay Christmas Look
It's finally Friday! The UnitWise Heroes are counting down the final days until Christmas and in their holiday excitement they came up with a really fun idea for this weeks Tips & Tricks Blog. So without further ado, I present A Very Mary Kay Christmas Look...
Today I had the pleasure of having UnitWise Hero Elena as my beautiful model. Everything used in this makeup look is from Mary Kay and it was super simple to create. So let's get started.
Prep:
To prep Elena's face, I applied the CC Cream in Light-to-Medium. I personally love this product, it works great as a base to even everything out and moisturize the skin or on it's own for a light makeup day. Next I added a little primer to the lids and applied Satin Lips balm to moisturize her lips while we makeover her face.
The Eyes:
I started with they eyes before we went on to foundation so we can clean up any fall out without it messing anything else up. I started with the Cream Eye Color in Glacier Gray on the lid. Then I blended in the Cream Eye Color in Violet Storm in the crease and outer V of her eye. I love the shimmer these cream eye shadows give off, they are just perfect for a holiday look. To give her eyes a bit more depth, I went in with the dark blue shade from the Baked Eye Shadow Trio in Ocean View just on the outer V and blended it in with the Violet Storm shade.
Next, I went over the center of her lid with the silver color from the same Ocean View trio to give Elena some extra sparkle.
For her bottom lash line, I blended the Violet Stom shade from outer to inner corner. Then I blended a little bit of the dark blue from the Ocean View trio so it connects with her outer V.
Then I lined her top and bottom lash line with MK Eyeliner in black. I finished her eye look with one of my favorite mascaras of all time, the MK Ultimate Mascara in black.
The Face:
Since I prepped her face with the CC Cream, she already had a touch of color evening out her skin tone. To give her a flawless finish, I used the Mineral Powder Foundation in Beige 1. This product is amazing, and gives really good coverage. Also, it makes your skin look gorgeous for pictures.
For her blush, I just wanted a naturally flushed look, so I used the Cream Blush in Cranberry. A little bit of this stuff goes a long way, so be careful not to pick up too much when applying.
The Lips:
For the lips, I wanted to keep it simple yet festive, so I went with Elena's favorite NouriShine Gloss in Fancy Nancy. And her Mary Kay Christmas Look was complete.
This makeup look was a blast to create and Elena was such a wonderful model. The colors I used were simple but the shimmer was what really gave this makeup a holiday feel. I'd like to thank the Heroes for letting me create so many different holiday looks this year, and can't wait to get started on the makeup challenges for New Year's. What are your favorite MK makeup products for the holidays?
