5 On-The-Go Makeup Essentials For Surviving Seminar

Keeping a well-stocked, on-the-go makeup bag is a busy woman’s best-kept secret and this is especially true for MK Directors and Consultants. Between Unit meetings, parties, marketing, and last-minute weekend road trips, you need to be ready for anything with quick touch-ups.

With Seminar right around the corner, you want to look your best all day long without having to run back to the hotel room. Here are five on-the-go makeup essentials for surviving seminar.

5 On-The-Go Makeup Essentials For Surviving Seminar

1. Dry Shampoo

Over the day your hair can get flat and oily, so be sure to pack a mini version of your favorite dry shampoo. Personally, my favorite is the original Batiste. Separate your hair into two-inch sections and spritz lightly holding the bottle about 10 - 12 inches from your roots.

If you have not used dry shampoo before, don’t be put off by the white powder; simply blend it in by working your fingers through your hair. Lastly, use a hairbrush to work the formula into your hair to get a polished look.

I would also consider packing a small travel bottle of hairspray for any needed touchups throughout the day.

2. Oil Absorbing Sheet

This is something I never leave the house without, especially on a hot summer’s day. Blotting papers or oil-absorbing sheets are an excellent way to whisk away any sweat or oil during the day. If you add additional layers of powder during the day to cover the shine you will end up looking cakey because of the oil underneath. Keep oil blotting sheets in your bag to quickly soak up any excess oil or shine without messing up your makeup.

If you forget to pack any blotting paper you can always use brown napkins as a quick substitute.

3. Foundation and Concealer

Keep light to medium coverage foundation and concealer in your bag or purse during Seminar 2018. Most likely you will already be wearing foundation, so be careful not to apply too much. Use the concealer for any touch ups and to freshen up your eyes. We have all experienced the occasional pimple or burst of slight redness during a hectic day.

If you are worried about any accidental spills, try using a contact lens case. Use one side for your foundation and the other for your concealer.

4. Red & Nude Lipstick

Depending on your look that day you will want to pack a dramatic red and natural nude lipstick. Use it for touch-ups throughout the day, or if you’re going out with your unit members that night you can pull a superhero-like day-to-night transformation.

If you like a dramatic flare pack a small case of eyeshadow for touch-ups and to add drama.

5. Perfume

Instead of carrying a full bottle of perfume, opt for carrying a small sample bottle or purchase a rollerball. They are perfect for your makeup bag because they are small and you can avoid any accidental spills during Seminar 2018.
