Spring Forward with this UnitWise Spring Cleaning Checklist

spring cleaning

This is an exciting time of year! Mary Kay’s spring release is out, today is Saint Patrick’s Day, and the first day of spring is lingering around the corner. Your luck won’t run out with UnitWise as your business management software, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t check in with your account throughout the year.

Spring cleaning shouldn’t just apply to your home. Your UnitWise account has a lot of great features. Make the most of these features by taking a few minutes this week to update and clean up your account.

Here are some spring cleaning tips for your UnitWise Account:

1. Spruce up your Customer Center:

When was the last time you went through your customer center and made sure all of your customers’ information was up-to-date?

Within the Customer Center, you can filter customers by letter or select “all” to see all of your active customers. You can choose to show up to 100 customer entries at once.

customer information

Going through your Customer Center is a great way to update customer information including addresses and phone numbers. You can also change the status of each customer by converting them to a team member or contact, deactivating a customer, or deleting them entirely.

While going through your Customer Center, take a look at all of your call notes and make sure each one is up-to-date. Update your UnitWise calendar to include any necessary follow-ups with customers.

This is a great opportunity to see if any birthdays or anniversaries are coming up. Make a note to send out a “Happy Birthday” email to all of your Aries.

2. Dust off your Invoices:

Spring is great, but it also means tax day is quickly approaching. That makes it the perfect season to look through your “Partially Paid” invoices.

Partially paid invoices can be found under “Invoices” in your “Customers” tab. Here, you can filter invoices by open, paid, partially paid, voided, and all. Take the time to follow up with customers who have a partially paid invoice, so that you can clean up your “Invoices” tab.

3. Tidy up your Calendar:

UnitWise allows you to filter your calendar by appointment, call, party, task, and family time:

Filter by each category individually and go through your appointments for the next 3 months. Make sure everything is up-to-date. Go through each week to find breaks in your schedule. Where can you increase revenue by adding another facial, call, or party?

Don’t forget to set aside time for self-care. Schedule at least one hour each week for yourself.

4. Deep Clean your Digital Marketing Strategy:

What are your goals for springtime? Spring is the perfect time to let your Mary Kay business aspirations bloom. Create a list of the strategies you intend to implement this season.

You don’t need a four-leaf clover to improve your marketing strategy, UnitWise is all the luck you need with customizable blog, email, and website features. Here are some ways UnitWise can help you boost your digital marketing strategy:

  • Create a list of content creation ideas and add it to your UnitWise Resource Library.

  • Use your UnitWise calendar to create a content calendar. Here, you can plan out all email and social media posts for the month.

  • Once your schedule is set, use the Social Media and Marketing tabs in your UnitWise account to schedule your content for the entire month. This way, UnitWise will do the work for you. Once it’s scheduled you can sit back and start brainstorming ideas for next month.

  • Research new marketing trends and update your UnitWise blog with these trends in mind. You can even send out a mass email to your team going through these trends with them as well. This will help your entire team enjoy increased sales and revenue.

5. Freshen up your Website:

Have you ever clicked on a website that was organized so terribly that you immediately clicked out? Don’t let a dusty website hurt your Mary Kay brand. A well-put-together website can help your business grow and evolve and shows your customers that you take your Mary Kay business seriously.

edit site

Take the time to walk through your website and fix anything that doesn’t accurately represent your brand. Try not to just skim, but be as detailed as possible. Even something as simple as the color and font you choose leaves an impression on your visitors.

Use a clear and easy-to-read font and make sure the colors, photos, and themes you choose complement each other. It can be easy getting carried away with colors and photos, but remember everything you add to your site should help convey the mission and values of your Mary Kay Business.

6. Declutter your Inventory:

Choose your storage location carefully. Try to find a location where you can keep all of your Mary Kay products close together so that they will not get misplaced.

Tidy up your shelves at home by compartmentalizing drawers. This will allow you to organize your inventory by category. Fill larger drawers with mini bins, for a slide-out organized makeup drawer.

Label all of your drawers. This way you aren’t shuffling through multiple drawers, messing up your organization in the process, trying to find a product.

Keep your samples separate from the rest of your products.

7. Organize your Inbox:

How many unread emails do you have in your inbox right now? With multiple subscriptions, customers, and team members, emails can quickly pile up. Going through your inbox on a regular basis is a great way to stay organized. If your inbox is looking more like spring showers than summer flowers, it may be time to clear it out.

While you’re at it, take a look through your UnitWise Resource Library. Are there any documents, photos, videos, or audio files that aren’t relevant anymore? Clean out all of these folders for a more organized look.

Cleaning up your account on a regular basis is a great way to stay organized and productive. Just like a clean house can help clear your mind, a clean UnitWise account can help your Mary Kay business grow.
