March is Women’s History Month. An entire month dedicated to reflecting on the contributions of women to history, culture, and society. This year’s theme, selected by The National Women’s History Alliance, is “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.” At UnitWise, we would like to thank all of our Mary Kay Directors and Consultants for filling us with hope!

How are you celebrating Women’s History Month?

   

This is the perfect time to let your team know how much you appreciate them. Here are some ideas for how you can inspire your team this Women’s History Month:

1. Email inspiration straight to their inbox:

Twice a week send an email out to your team where you highlight one of your favorite women from history. How do these women exemplify the values of Mary Kay?


You can even create a “Women’s History Month” email template category within your UnitWise account. This will help you keep all of your Women’s History Month emails organized and in one place. Schedule your emails ahead of time or send them as you write them.

2. Challenge your customers to “Live Fearlessly:”

Mary Kay’s “Live Fearlessly Eau de Parfum,” is the perfect gift for any woman you find inspiring. Why not share this with your customers and challenge them to “Live Fearlessly!”


Live Fearlessly by doing something today that truly challenges you. Maybe it’s calling up that customer you haven’t heard from in a while or trying a new shade of eyeshadow that you’ve always dismissed as “too bold.” Share this on social media and encourage your audience to do the same.

3. Join the Conversation:

Women’s History Month is about celebrating female role models and mentors throughout history. How can you share their accomplishments with your community?


Try reading books by female authors and sharing your thoughts about these books with your team. Only about 20% of podcasts have a female host. Listen to a podcast and then get in on the conversation by sharing your thoughts on social media.


Support your community by researching local women’s nonprofit organizations. There are many ways to get involved with nonprofits including donating money, time, items of clothing, toiletries, and non-perishable foods.

4. Show your team you care:

Let your team know that you see them. Take the extra time to individually let each of them know that you appreciate them. Try highlighting their accomplishments in your monthly or weekly newsletter. Don’t be afraid to promote them on your website or social media to let them know you’re proud!

5. Recognition:

Recognition is important. Recognizing your team on a consistent basis can inspire them to achieve goals they did not originally think were possible. When was the last time you recognized yourself?


The best way to celebrate Women’s History Month is to be kind to yourself. Practice this every morning this month by writing down one thing you like about yourself.


If you’re not an early bird don’t worry! Go into your UnitWise Account at the end of each day and write an email to yourself. Schedule the email to automatically send to your inbox the next morning. This way, you’ll wake up every morning for the rest of the month to a kind message from you!
